MICRODERMABRASION

Microdermabrasion or medical grade facial is a simple, straightforward, non invasive procedure that revitalizes dull skin, reduces large pores, erases fine lines and wrinkles, diminishes acne scars, and reduces mild pigment irregularities (hyper pigmentation), stretch marks and age spots. The Microdermabrasion procedure is so gentle that it allows you to get back to your daily routine immediately after treatment. Results are instantly visible.

Microdermabrasion involves the use of specialized equipment that spray and circulate high pressure crystals onto the skin just like the routine facial (but it is very specialized medical grade). It is like sand blasting the skin. The procedure peels the outer dead skin layer (10-15 microns of skin, a layer so thin that you cannot see it.) The gentle removal of the dead layer of the skin uncovers the healthy glowing skin from underneath. The entire procedure unlike dermabrasion or laser skin surgery, takes only 15-20 minutes. You can have the treatment on your face, neck, chest, back, feet and hands.

FRACTIONAL / MOSAIC® LASER

A breakthrough in skin rejuvenation science was made in 2004 with the introduction of Fraxel® / Mosaic® lasers. Our patients call them magic lasers as they produce results which are beyond their expectations. These lasers soften fine lines and wrinkles, reduce the size of prominent pores, smooth skin tone and texture, even out acne pits and scars, fade uneven discoloration and even diminish burn scars. You name it and you get it!

Mosaic®. rejuvenation gives a visibly dramatic improvement, yet being gentle is ideal for the face. It can as well be used on areas such as neck, chest, arms, hands, legs and even the belly.

Here’s how it works: while non-fractional lasers deliver energy uniformly to both healthy and unhealthy tissues, fractional devices direct energy exclusively to a “fraction” of the area – the damaged sections - while leaving healthy, surrounding tissue untouched thereby creating a "Mosaic" of microscopic wounds. These untreated zones help dissipate energy so that treated areas heal faster. They also make it possible to use greater energy on targeted areas for better results.

After three to five treatments spaced at 4-6 weeks interval, most people achieve the results they desire. A complete Fraxel® / Mosaic® treatment is done in a series of 2 - 5 sessions. This entirely depends on the skin flaw targeted. Skin texture improves dramatically only after 1-2 sittings. Fine lines, wrinkles and hyper-pigmentation take about 2-4 sittings to settle, while acne scarred skin and burn scars may need few more sessions. MICRO LASER PEEL & RESURFACING TREATMENTS

Laser peel and laser resurfacing treatments may also be used to minimize the appearance of wrinkles and uneven skin tone and pigmentation on the face and other parts of the body. Many kinds of lasers are available to repair and undo the time-damaged skin. As we age, skin loses its elasticity. Lasers like Er: YAG, especially in Pakistani population, can do the remarkable job of eliminating the outer dead layer of skin and get rid of fine lines. If done aggressively, it can even eliminate deep wrinkles but in darker skin can cause pigmentation and so should be avoided.

CHEMICAL PEEL

Chemical peeling is basically an accelerated form of exfoliation induced by the use of chemical agent. The chemical used in Chemical peeling is a mild acid that sloughs away the superficial dead skin layers. Chemical peeling is a safe, quick and effective way to uncover the hidden, younger, fresher skin provided done by an experienced doctor. The Chemical peeling procedure requires skill and experience at the doctors’ end that can anticipate the ultimate outcome of an acid application on a particular patient so as not to burn or damage the skin. Minor pigmentary flaws, fine lines, open pores and skin dullness can be taken care of by the controlled and timed application of certain chemical agent. There are three types of chemical peels that we employ in our practice in Lahore.

1. The light chemical peels that target superficial age spots and fine lines.

Chemical peeling is a routinely performed procedure in our clinic and takes around 30 minutes to complete.
